But hey, at the end of the week we have "spring" break. When is spring again? Or has winter even come?

Ok...so I'll be in Tokyo this summer. As far as I know right now. Pretty neat huh? I could really use one of those little Andes mint chocolate things at this moment. Maybe a glass of milk too. I've had streptococus in the throat for the past week. eek! But hey, I'm back to my singing, mandolin playing self. Thanks.

So, for whoever is out there. Randomly (snooper) or not so randomly (stalker) reading this little note. I'd most certainly like to know which of you undestand me when I say that I am a E.S.F.P.

Hello.

Monday, September 04, 2006

Ok...so a bunch of years later we are still kinda pissed about the whole WWII thing, the Civil War thing, ...Pearl Harbor...and most recently the W.T.C. bombings.

Now, I bet the folks over in Japan are still a bit perturbed about the whole a-bomb thing. I wasn't around when it happened...but I still really think it sucks....a lot.

I think every life is precious. Very precious. And to Destroy Life seems absolutely horrid. Come on Truman.

I love the Japanese culture, the people and certainly the food. But what freaks me out is the idea that some of the older Japanese folks might think that I feel otherwise since I am an American.

It doesn't seem to me that either side of the twisted American political spectrum cares a whole lot about life. I am not referring to individuals...just sides*

The Republicans are gung-ho about military and hate any other nation that might possibly hinder our unquenchable thirst for oil, and the Liberals want to kill all the unborns. How ignorant.

True religion as God the Father accepts is this, help widows and orphans in their distress and keep onelsef unspotted from the world. James 1: 27 I didn't quote it quite perfect....sorry I don't have the book with me.

hmm ok - so folks....(not government) ....people! We should help the widows and orphans. In Africa, in China...at home...worry about someone other than yourself tomorrow, treat them as better than you. That's what Jesus did.

I guess it is almost as simple as that.

I tell ya, the book of Romans, written by Paul to the Romans is a stinkin' tough book to read. I like Paul's stuff but this is just hard!

Summer is going good. The internship at the Church rocks my face off and it's real cool to hang with 9th and 10thers all day. We do stupid things like backpacking and rafting and watching some cool movies here and there.

Something tasty to meditate on:

" You are all beautiful my darling, there is no flaw in you."

Song of Solomon.

THE GULF COAST STILL NEEDS HELP!!! Katrina is not over.

Ok so here is the deal.

10 months ago a little storm named Katrina hit the Gulf Coast. 8 months ago everyone forgot about it. 6 months ago I went with a few other college kids to wittness the barren Gulfport landscape and clean up a bit. I got back today from another trip to Mississippi and the coast is STILL IN RUINS!

GO TO MISSISSIPPI OR LOUISIANA!

There are still thousands of people not in their homes and in need of a little love.

Be nice.

While many complain about FEMA and how Bush has not helped these unfortunate folks, the CHURCH feeds and rebulids these seaside communities. Around 96% of civilian aid is brought in by the CHURCH.

...interesting...
